Natalie has always been super curious about my blog. She frequently asks me to read them to her and is always curious as to what I’m working on. So when I approached her about writing a “guest blog” she was beside herself. She kept asking me what she should write about but I refused to give her any direction, as I didn’t want to influence the end result. I have to say, while her style is nothing like mine, it was refreshing to read what she wrote. It gave me a childs perspective – and that was dang nice.
I had her do pen to paper so I will be retyping what she wrote. I have decided to leave everything exactly how it was written:
|Our Trip to Massachusetts|
Last weekend we went to Massachusetts it was fun! We went with my grandparents because my Mimi had to get a shot in a nerve because of shoulder pains and my dad because he has parkinsins and needed a checkup. We were there for 4 days. We all walked to their appts and while walking there were lots of apartments with small doorways and I said my mom “Imagine walking down thoose small stairs with a 3 year old groceries and a purse.”
After their appointments we were going to go home but we ended up staying 2 more nights. My dad had to work the next day and me my mom and my dad all didn’t have clothes for 1 more day only Arabella my little sister did. So my mom and Mimi went to Target together and bought us new clothes. Then at 3:00 in the morning my dad drove home to go to work. Me my mom and Arabella all went shopping at the Burlington [mall] with our grandparents. At the mall we got school clothes for me and Arabella Ü

Then our dad came back to the new hotel. Then for dinner we had dave and busters. It was across the street from our hotel so we all walked. We all sat down and at our food and our way out the cops that were inside ran out because there had been a bad accident. One car was in the grass! And the other cars air bags had gone off. The cops had to pop the air bags soon after they let a guy out. When the poped the air bags they got another person out and pull him on a stretcher. So he could get a neckbrace at the hospital. We walked back to the hotel and the next day we headed home.
On our way home we stopped a Kittery outlets and got all of us outfits. Then we left and finally got home!

You see. I remember fighting, screaming, and chaos. Natalie remembers us being together…even if that means witnessing an accident. We were together. I put so much pressure on trying to make certain the family is always having fun but I need to remind myself that to our kids it’s not what we do, it’s just the fact that we are together.
Less pressure, mamas. And more enjoying.
